MedPlus offers Linux-based EPR
MedPlus Inc., of Mason, Ohio, announced that the company is offering its ChartMaxx electronic patient record (EPR) system on the Linux operating platform.
Chartmaxx is an enterprise-wide EPR that enables organizations to create and manage an electronic repository comprised of clinical, financial and administrative information. Running on the Linux operating platform enables small and mid-size customers to purchase and deploy an EPR system.
"The availability of Chartmaxx on the Linux platform will provide the same reliable functionality and feature set as the original Chartmaxx system, while allowing smaller healthcare organizations to implement more appropriately configured systems best suited for the size of their facility," said MedPlus President Richard A. Mahoney.
