Kodak releases mammography software upgrade for DryView 8900 laser imager

Eastman Kodak Co. has added a new software upgrade for its DryView 8900 laser imaging system that supports the printing of high-resolution digital mammography images.

The optional software package enables healthcare facilities to print high-resolution mammography images - from all approved mammography modalities, including full-field digital mammography systems (FFDM) - onto Kodak DryView mammography laser imaging film.

Kodak's mammography software upgrade is FDA 510(k)-cleared and has received the Medical Device Directive CE marking for European marketing and distribution.

The software upgrade is available both on new purchases of a DryView 8900 system or as a retrofit to an existing DryView 8900 laser imager.
