Siemens introduces Arcadis Orbic 3D mobile C-arm system
Siemens Medical Solutions installed the first intra-operative three-dimensional imaging mobile C-arm system in Germany. The Arcadis Orbic 3D surgical system increases efficiency, and generates 3D images directly in the operating room (OR).
Arcadis Orbic 3D provides higher power and faster scan times beside enhanced image quality with 3D image data acquisition that includes 50 or 100 images is now recorded in a 1,024x1,024 (1K2). The acquisition can be repeated as often as necessary to include any anatomical changes that may occur in the OR field during surgery.
This imager is designed to be used for intra-operative 3D imaging of bones and joints of the upper and lower extremities; cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine pelvis and hip areas. In addition the Arcadis Orbic 3D features an isocentric design and 190 degree orbital movement and is equipped with syngo user interface, an intuitive software platform for all Siemens imaging modalities and systems.
