Elekta signs provider pact with HealthTrust Purchasing Group

Elekta Inc. has inked a contract with HealthTrust Purchasing Group (HPG) to supply Elekta's oncology product lines to more than 1,000 members of the group purchasing organization (GPO).

The contract covers Elekta's linear accelerators, advanced X-Ray Volume imaging systems, exclusive Elekta accessories and options, radiation treatment planning systems and image-guided radiation therapy technology.

The most recent pact allows HPG members to acquire Elekta's Precise Treatment System and Treatment Planning products -- in addition to a high dose rate (HDR) treatment machine through an Elekta/Nucletron arrangement.

The contract also includes Elekta's ground-breaking IGRT platform, Elekta Synergy, a radiation treatment machine with an integrated imaging system.
