Gateway joins the wireless access arena

Gateway Inc. has launched the Gateway 7000 Series of wireless access points (APs), which will include enterprise-class security features.

The move into wireless marks the company's entry into networking and building an enterprise systems product portfolio that includes Gateway's servers, storage and management software.

Available in single-band and dual-band options, Gateway APs are designed to provide continuous high-speed access between all wireless clients and the local area network. The APs also offer built-in security features, such as Wi-Fi protected access, advanced encryption standard and 64/128-bit WEP encryption.
