Stentor offers UChicago physicians better access to medical images

The University of Chicago Hospitals has awarded a multi-year contract to Stentor Inc. for implementation of its iSite PACS for on-demand delivery, management and storage of diagnostic-quality images across the hospital network.
   
All facilities in the University of Chicago Hospitals integrated network will have enterprise-wide image access and always-online long-term storage. The organization will also integrate EPIC Systems' electronic medical record (EMR) software with iSite PACS.
   
The University of Chicago Hospitals, an academic medical center on the campus of the University of Chicago, is a not-for-profit corporation. The Hospitals' University campus includes 26 buildings and care facilities that include Bernard A Mitchell Hospital, a primary adult patient facility; University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital; Chicago Lying-in Hospital, a maternity and women's facility; Duchossois Center for Advanced Medicine (DCAM), and an ambulatory-care facility.
