North American Scientific completes Nomos acquisition

North American Scientific Inc. (NASI) this week completed its acquisition of Nomos Corp., as the companies begin the integration of their products and services for the treatment of cancer.

Approximately 5.3 million shares of NASI common stock will be issued and approximately $12 million in cash will be paid to Nomos stockholders for all of Nomos' outstanding capital stock.

NASI estimates that it will achieve approximately $27 million in revenues for its fiscal year, ending Oct. 31, with the inclusion of Nomos revenues in the final six months of FY04.

Nomos supplies planning and delivery technology for intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT). NASI specializes in brachytherapy.
