Del announces third fiscal quarter of FY04 and nine months operating results

Del Global Technologies this week announced its sales and earnings in the third fiscal quarter of FY04, ending May 1.

Net sales for the third quarter of FY04 increased 6 percent to $24.4 million, compared with $23.0 million in the third quarter of FY03. Sales at the company's Medical Systems Group increased 29.8 percent to $17.4 million in the third quarter of FY04 from $13.4 million in the prior year period, due to higher international sales, which offset slightly lower domestic sales.

The net loss for the third quarter of FY04 narrowed significantly to $289,000 from a net loss of $3.9 million for the third quarter of FY03.

For the six month period, sales increased to $75,958, up from $74,907 in the year-ago period. Net loss jumped to $13.2 million, compared with $10.8 million in the year-ago period.
