SNM names new VP-elect
The Society of Nuclear Medicine (SNM) has named Martin P. Sandler, MD, chairman of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, Tenn., as vice president-elect through June 2005, then as president elect through June 2006.
He will serve as president of the Society from June 2006 through June 2007.
According to SNM, Sandler's plans for leadership include emphasis on continuing education for practicing physicians, especially in the interpretation of CT scans, and in sponsoring educational programs developed to meet the needs of international nuclear medicine practitioners.
