Misys wins $1 million contract for EMR system
Misys Healthcare Systems has landed a $1 million contract with Nevada-based Fremont Medical Centers to deploy its Misys EMR (electronic medical record) across nine locations for utilization by more than 48 physicians.
Fremont will begin rolling out Misys EMR to its family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine, workers' comp and Ob/Gyn physicians and staff starting late November. According to Misys, the EMR system will help Fremont set protocols and templates for its physicians to follow, conduct data mining into its patient base, and provide quality outcomes for tracking purposes.
In addition, Misys said the clinical system will enable Fremont to centralize certain administrative services -- including filing, nurse calls and referrals -- across its multiple locations. Previously, the organization had to maintain personnel, files and documents at each site.
