Agfa awarded imaging and IT contract for Salzburg District Hospitals

The Salzburger Landeskliniken (Salzburg District Hospitals group or SALK) in Austria has awarded a contract to GWI, a subsidiary of Agfa, to implement its ORBIS hospital-wide information system, including ORBIS RIS, as well as Agfa’s IMPAX PACS and CR equipment. Under the terms of the $8.3 million agreement, SALK’s current system will be replaced by ORBIS at the end of 2006. The contract also includes provision of support and maintenance for 60 months.
