Philips wins Premier contract for enterprise image management
Premier Purchasing Partners, the group purchasing unit of Premier, has chosen Royal Philips Electronics for a new 33-month enterprise image management contract.
The new agreement provides Premier’s more than 1,600 member hospitals and 51,000 additional healthcare sites with access to contracts for Philips Xcelera PACS for Cardiology and Philips iSite PACS for Radiology.
Philips said its iSite PACS is an image and information management system that delivers on-demand diagnostic-quality images over existing hospital networks, advanced radiology reading stations for radiologists and online long-term storage.
Xcelera is a multimodality image management, analysis and reporting solution that organizes and provides access to images and data from key cardiology subspecialties, according to the company.
In addition to the new solutions, Philips Healthcare said it is contracted with Premier for CT, MRI, molecular imaging, nuclear medicine, PET, PET CT, surgery and cardiovascular products. Philips is also on contract for all ultrasound systems and nearly all patient monitoring products.
