Ziosoft, a provider of advanced visualization and analysis software for medical imaging, is partnering with medical teaching institution, Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, to explore innovative applications for cardiac CT and MR imaging.

Under terms of the agreement, Johns Hopkins, under the direction of Joao Lima, MD, professor of medicine and director of cardiovascular imaging in cardiology at the university, will utilize Ziosoft’s Ziostation 3D/4D enterprise software to develop applications for coronary and cardiac analysis, the company said.

“We are honored to be collaborating with Johns Hopkins University to expand the uses of advanced visualization in cardiovascular imaging," said Kazuhiko Matsumoto, CEO of the Redwood City, Calif.-based Ziosoft. “This important partnership will help ensure that advanced visualization software will continue to enable the full technical and clinical potential of CT and MR.”
