Radiological software product provider Comrad Medical Services appointed Jeff Wilkinson as the new general manager to preside over the company’s expansion, resulting from the rapid growth in the radiology industry.

The Christchurch, New Zealand-based company recently interfaced its Comrad 2 RIS software with the PACS and voice recognition systems  by Cedara and Powerscribe, respectively. Comrad also launched its own WebCOMRAD product which provides Internet access to patient radiology information for referring clinicians, according to the company.

Wilkinson held a range of management and consulting roles in the software industry prior to joining Comrad in April, 2007.
