HL7 appoints John Quinn as CTO

Health Level Seven (HL7), a healthcare IT developer, has appointed John Quinn as chief technology officer (CTO).

Quinn, who is CTO of Accenture's U.S. Provider Practice, will immediately assume the responsibilities of CTO at HL7. Accenture and HL7 have reached a verbal agreement on his services, which will be finalized with a signed agreement in the next few weeks.

As HL7’s CTO, Quinn will implement its product and services strategy in conjunction with the CEO, oversee the delivery of standards, report on the progress of initiatives, and specifications to the membership and stakeholders and lead its technical steering committee, according to the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based HL7.
