GE, Boston Scientific ink IVUS partnership
WASHINGTON—GE Healthcare and Boston Scientific announced a collaboration to improve intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) workflow between GE’s Innova cardiovascular x-ray system and Boston Scientific’s iLab ultrasound imaging system this week at the Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics (TCT) scientific symposium.
Both company’s devices are on display at the symposium.
GE and the Natick, Mass.-based Boston Scientific said the iLab ultrasound imaging system can be directly installed into the cardiac cath lab or radiology suite, alongside the Innova x-ray system, allowing physicians to incorporate IVUS technology into their procedures.
