Quovadx acquires Healthvision

Quovadx, a healthcare IT company, has acquired Healthvision, a health information exchange (HIE) provider that connects hospitals, labs, physicians and patients.

According to the Dallas-based Quovadx, the expanded company will host 11 million patient records and serve more than 2,000 hospitals, 250 extended healthcare communities, 23,000 clinicians and millions of consumers.

Quovadx had previously delivered the Irving, Texas-based Healthvision’s Cloverleaf integration services and Healthvision’s clinical and consumer services, said it will continue to deliver these products.
