Cardima names Sharma chief medical officer
Cardima, an interventional cardiac device developer, has appointed Arjun Sharma, MD, as its chief medical officer. Sharma is a trained cardiologist and cardiac electrophysiologist, according to the Fremont-Calif.-based company.
Sharma has participated in more than 50 clinical trials and has contributed extensively to academic research in the field of cardiology. He has also served as a scientific adviser to major pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers for advances in cardiac treatments, Cardima said.
