BioSphere names Weinstein as VP

BioSphere Medical, an interventional device developer, has named Joel B. Weinstein to the newly created position of vice president of global marketing and sales.

The Rockland, Mass.-based BioSphere said Weinstein has more than 20 years of experience in the imaging and women's health industries; most recently at Hologic in Bedford, Mass.

Weinstein will report to Richard Faleschini, BioSphere's president and CEO, who said that Weinstein will be focused upon the building of its interventional gynecology and oncology market.
