Philips exec elected to MTIA board of directors
Nick van Terheyden, MD, the chief medical officer of Royal Philips Electronics speech recognition business, has been elected to the Medical Transcription Industry Association's (MTIA) board of directors.
According to Philips, van Terheyden was a medical practitioner in London and Australia and became an advocate for the application of IT to raise patient safety.
