Siemens to produce molecular imaging biomarkers in India

Siemens Medical Solutions is launching its first molecular imaging biomarker production facility in Chennai, India, through its company PETNET Solutions.

The new facility will enable healthcare providers in and around Chennai to access PET technology to diagnose patients with life-threatening diseases such as cancer as well as cardiac and neuro ailments, according to Siemens.

PETNET Solutions operates a large PET radiopharmacy network with more than 44 radiopharmacies and distribution centers at multiple locations in the United States, Korea and the United Kingdom, which produce and distribute PET radiopharmaceuticals to hospitals, clinics and research facilities for PET imaging.
