Medsphere names Danahy VP of Sales

Medsphere Systems, a provider of open-source EHR systems and services, has reported that John Danahy has joined the company as vice president of sales.

With more than 15 years of healthcare IT sales, Danahy is charged with expanding Medsphere's national sales organization and leveraging the success of current partners, specifically the recent designation of Midland Memorial Hospital as a Health Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS) Analytics Stage 6 facility, according to the Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based company.

Danahy comes to Medsphere from McKesson Provider Technologies, where he was vice president of customer operations for new business in the western region of the United States, Medsphere said.
