Data Distributing adds custom splash screens to DICOM distribution app

Data Distributing has added custom splash screens to its suite of professional services.

Nancy Fisher, president and CEO, said that the custom splash screens integrate with any existing manual or automated DICOM CD burning device, embedding a custom transition page into a DICOM CD.

Splash screen packages are available in standard or deluxe and can include audio, video, a corporate logo, and any other text, graphic or photo. When the patient's DICOM disc is loaded into a PC, the imaging center's splash screen quickly auto-launches with pre-set navigation options such as “View Images” or “About Us,” Fisher added.

Custom splash screens are available immediately and currently shipping throughout the United States, according to the Santa Cruz, Calif.-based company.

Harvard’s David A. Rosman, MD, MBA, explains how moving imaging outside of hospitals could save billions of dollars for U.S. healthcare.

Back in September, the FDA approved GE HealthCare’s new PET radiotracer, flurpiridaz F-18, for patients with known or suspected CAD. It is seen by many in the industry as a major step forward in patient care.

After three years of intermittent shortages of nuclear imaging tracer technetium-99m pyrophosphate, there are no signs of the shortage abating.
