Intelerad showcases new integration, performance features

PACS developer Intelerad demonstrated the latest release of its IntelePACS product at the 2008 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) in Seattle, highlighting new workflow performance boosters and features of the system.

The latest performance boosters bring new benefits to the table, such as speed enhancements and improved streaming capabilities for handling the ever-increasing size of imaging studies, the Montreal-based company said.

In addition, Intelerad demonstrated an optimized RIS gateway to handle multiple HL7 feeds to and from different systems or facilities, as well as a report generation and distribution module with optional integration to its InteleDictation offering or other vendors’ speech recognition packages.

The company also displayed integration capabilities of its IntelePACS product to advanced 3D, orthopedic and mammography packages.
