UltraRAD releases automated pre-fetch product

UltraRAD, a medical image and information management technology developer, has released a new automated prior image and study offering, UltraPREFETCH.

According to the West Berling, N.J.-based company, the application is designed to automatically route pertinent historical patient data from a remote PACS database directly to any workstation based on scheduled or immediate DICOM exams.

It can pre-fetch data to single or multiple destinations, and supports multiple locations with different HL7 or scheduled events. The company said its Smart Route technology automatically directs the studies to any DICOM workstation on the basis of a flexible workflow system that allows user customization. In addition, the UltraPREFETCH product is interoperable with multiple vendor networks and imaging systems, allowing it to function with any DICOM PACS product.
