Hyland Software acquires Liberty Information Management Systems

Hyland Software, a developer of enterprise content management (ECM) software, has acquired Liberty Information Management Systems.

By acquiring Liberty, the Cleveland-based Hyland said it will be able to:
  • Add more than 1,000 Liberty IMS client organizations to Hyland’s customer base;
  • Extend its reseller channel base with a network of Liberty channel partners, who possess domain expertise in selling and supporting document imaging, COLD/ERM and workflow solutions to organizations in Hyland’s targeted markets; and
  • Broaden its presence in the western United States and central Canada by maintaining Liberty’s offices and an existing team of ECM professionals in Costa Mesa, Calif., and Ottawa, Ontario.
The transaction was private and terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
