ACR names assistant executive PR director

The American College of Radiology (ACR) has hired Ronald E. Freedman as assistant executive director for education, socioeconomic research, marketing, communications and public relations.

With more than 25 years experience, the ACR said that Freedman will direct the college’s educational development department, including the ACR Education Center. Additionally, he will have responsibility for ACR internal and external marketing and public relations efforts, as well as socioeconomic research and technology assessment activities.

Freedman previously served as senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing for VCampus, a provider of web-based e-Learning solutions. Prior to joining VCampus, Freedman served as vice president of information assurance and chief security officer at USinternetworking.

Freedman also worked for General Electric for 15 years, including five years at GE Healthcare, according to the ACR.
