ProStor releases new disk storage with HP servers, workstations

ProStor Systems, a developer of removable disk storage systems, has released its RDX technology with entry-level HP ProLiant servers and HP xw series workstations.

The removable disk backup solutions allow small businesses to store data off-site as part of a disaster recovery plan, according to the Boulder, Colo.-based ProStor. HP StorageWorks RDX removable disk cartridges in 160-GB and 320-GB capacities are available immediately, according to the company.

The company said its RDX technology allows users to back up 100 GB of data in less than an hour. Additionally, RDX disk systems include a dock and cartridge that contains a mobile 2.5-inch hard disk drive in a shock-proof design.
