DMS Imaging obtains ACR accreditation for mobile mammo unit

A mobile unit of DMS Imaging has been awarded a three-year term of accreditation in digital mammography from the American College of Radiology (ACR).

The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the service. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment, according to the company.

Fargo, N.D.-based DMS said it will expand its mobile digital mammography services into South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas.
