Siemens finalizes purchase of India diagnostic firm for $10M

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics said Wednesday that the company will pay a purchase price of approximately $9.8 million for the acquisition of Dade Behring Diagnostics, located in New Delhi, India.

The company said it has approved the supplemental report on valuation of assets and liabilities of Dade for the period July 1 to July 31, 2008, based on which the final purchase price, Siemens stated in a regulatory filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.    

The company initially acquired the company on Aug. 1, and at that time the company had lower fixed price of approximately $9.4 million, based on the valuation of assets and liabilities done up to June 30.

Dade Behring manufactures chemical and immunochemical test systems, medical diagnostic equipment and electrolyte serum analyzers.
