Positron debuts new cardiac PET scanner at ASNC annual meeting

Positron, a PET developer, introduced its new Cardiac PET system at the annual meeting of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC). The company said it expects to obtain FDA 501(k) clearance in spring 2008.

The new Attrius molecular imaging system is scheduled to be available for the cardiology market for less than $600,000, according to the Houston-based Positron.
