Quinn takes reins of Siemens Healthcare diagnostic division

Donal Quinn has been appointed as the new CEO of the diagnostics division of Siemens Healthcare.

In his new position, Quinn succeeds Jim Reid-Anderson, who on May 1 became the new CEO of the sector, Siemens said. Quinn has served as executive vice president and chief customer officer of the diagnostics division since November 2007.

Quinn joined the clinical laboratory diagnostics company Dade Behring as group president of the biology division in 1998, and later became president, overseeing Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to Siemens. In 2000, he was promoted to president of the international division, responsible for all commercial operations outside of the U.S. and Canada, according to the company.

In 2002, he became president of global customer management at Dade. Siemens said that he was appointed to the role of chief operating officer of Dade in 2007, with global responsibility for sales, service, marketing and logistics. Dade was acquired by Siemens in November 2007.
