Panasonic unveils new Toughbook mobile clinical assistant

Panasonic Computer Solutions has released its Panasonic Toughbook H1, a rugged mobile clinical assistant (MCA) with integration of the low-power Intel Atom processor.  

The new Toughbook H1 MCA has a six-hour battery life, dual hot–swappable batteries, standard daylight viewable screen and integrated Gobi technology in a sealed, easily-sanitized package, according to the Secaucus, N.J.-based company.

With RFID- integrated reader, 2 megapixel auto-focus camera with dual LED lights, a barcode reader, contactless smart card reader and fingerprint readers, Panasonic said its new Toughbook H1 MCA is a secure platform for barcode medication administration, vitals capture and EMR capture and review.
