Two Riverain chest products net CE Mark, Canadian device licenses

Two of the Riverain Medical’s products, the OnGuard chest x-ray CAD system and the SoftView chest imaging technology have been awarded CE Marks and Canadian device licenses.

Both products are now commercially available to clinicians in the European Union and Canada, according to Dayton, Ohio-based company.

Riverain said its OnGuard works in conjunction with the reading of standard digital chest x-rays to identify solitary pulmonary nodules that may be early-stage lung cancer. SoftView creates a soft tissue image of the chest by suppressing bone on a standard chest x-ray.
