Merge adds remote monitoring to suite

Merge Healthcare debuted Remote System Monitoring as the newest addition to its Managed Services suite at the 2008 RSNA conference in Chicago.

Users of Merge eFilm Workstation and Merge Fusion RIS, PACS and RIS/PACS solutions can rely on the 24/7 service to continually audit and verify technical uptime requirements. Merge Remote System Monitoring provides a way for organizations to optimize data protection and ensure the stability and uptime of their imaging informatics infrastructure. Merge monitors data and systems, provides site and workflow-specific alerts, identifies and solves problems via remote access and produces comprehensive reports. Merge’s ViewCheck software gathers information from the technical infrastructure using Open SSL to create an encrypted communication channel between the organization’s server and Merge’s Data Center. Critical system resources, such as disk space, CPU activity, memory usage, service status, queues and system log files, can be tracked by default without VPN hardware and software.
