Etiam debuts new version of DICOM Izer

Etiam has released version 3.40 of DICOM Izer, its system for capturing, converting and distributing non-DICOM images to PACS.

The company said its DICOM Izer includes several native processing tools for image rendering. In addition, DICOM Izer supports both connected and roaming operation that allows user to leverage the solution across multiple examination rooms.

To eliminate data entry errors and ensure traceability, DICOM Izer retrieves patient information from databases through a DICOM Worklist connection, according to Etiam. As an alternative, DICOM Izer supports the IHE Patient Demographics Query profile, which allows direct connection to hospital information system applications.

In addition to supporting still and motion video and audio capture in standard definition, the Rennes, France-based company said its DICOM Izer supports capture from HD video sources. Images and cine files may be distributed in standard multimedia format on various media, with or without PACS connectivity.
