Texas healthcare system deploys multiple Eclipsys apps
United Regional Health Care System (URHCS), a cardiac care facility and Level III trauma center in Wichita Falls, Texas, has activated a range of Eclipsys clinical solutions.
Dwayne McKee, manager of applications and project planning at United Regional, said that to achieve higher-quality patient care through improved care team efficiency and decision-making, the hospital simultaneously deployed Eclipsys’ Sunrise Acute Care, Sunrise Pharmacy, Sunrise Radiology and Sunrise Emergency Care solutions, which are part of Eclipsys’ Sunrise Enterprise suite of solutions that reside on the Eclipsys XA extended architecture.
The technology initiative spans 35 inpatient units in two separate locations, as well as a regional emergency department that serves an eight-county area. More than 2,000 users are now utilizing Eclipsys solutions in support of URHCS’ goal to establish an electronic healthcare environment across the enterprise.
