RIS Concepts unveils patient web portal

RIS Concepts, provider of RIS solutions, has released a new patient-data access portal option for its enterprise RCI-RIS. Using the portal, patients registered with a radiology practice's site can log in via the internet and download their reports and related data in real time, using a HIPAA-compliant password. Patients also have access to the radiologist's final signed reports.

RCI-RIS provides such features as real-time scheduling, dictation, transcription, patient demographics, document scanning and billing. It also offers a proprietary HL7 engine, providing economical and efficient integration with other healthcare IT applications, according to the Miami-based RIS Concepts.
