ACR seeks comments on epilepsy PQRI measures

The American College of Radiology (ACR), in conjunction with the American Academy of Neurology (AAN), is seeking comments on eight performance measures developed for epilepsy.

The 30-day open public comment period, which started Feb. 11, will run until March 12.

The epilepsy measures include: Seizure Type and Frequency, Etiology or Epilepsy Type, EEG, MRI/CT, AED Side Effects, Refractory Epilepsy Referral, Safety and Driving, and Women of Childbearing Potential.

The ACR and AAN said that these measures can be used by neurologists and other practitioners in quality improvement programs, or in pay-for-reporting programs such as the CMS Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI).

Interested parties can view and comment on the full measurement set at www.aan.com/comments.
