Siemens adds SPECT scanner to Symbia line

Siemens Healthcare has added the Symbia E SPECT, a single-detector system, to its portfolio of Symbia scanners.

The company said its new generation of HD detector, first introduced with the Symbia TruePoint SPECT/CT imager, is available on the new Symbia E system. It can also be upgraded to a dual-detector camera as a facility's workload necessitates.

The Symbia line now offers options in SPECT from a single-head camera to an integrated 16-slice SPECT/CT. The Symbia portfolio offers complete solutions with upgrade possibilities and protection, Siemens said.
