Henry Ford installs five Zonare ultrasounds

Zonare Medical Systems has installed five z.one ultrasound systems at two hospitals within the Henry Ford Health System, and has ordered two z.one ultra sp ultrasound systems.

The new z.one ultrasound systems are being used for various imaging procedures in the radiology department at Henry Ford West Bloomfield Hospital, a new 300-bed facility in West Bloomfield Township, Mich., and at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township, Mich. In addition, the health system said it recently issued a purchase order for new z.one ultra sp ultrasound systems for use in surgery and orthopedics.

The z.one ultrasound system is a convertible ultrasound platform based on proprietary Zone Sonography technology. It is designed specifically to meet clinicians' needs for point-of-care markets including interventional radiology, venous ablation, emergency medicine, anesthesiology, critical care and OB/GYN imaging, the company said.

Zonare said that system software upgrades can be downloaded over the internet.
