German hospital banks on Barco displays, MedicalCommunications

Under an agreement with PACS provider MedicalCommunications, Barco will provide Nürnberg Hospital South in Nürnberg, Germany, with color and grayscale display systems for its reading applications, along with an application for online quality assurance and asset management.

One of the products in Nürnberg's new display fleet will be Barco's Coronis Fusion 6 megapixel (MP) DL display system, which can be used both as two seamless 3 MP displays or one uninterrupted large-screen display, according to the Bruchsal, Germany-based MedicalCommunications.

Nürnberg will also deploy MediCal QAWeb, which is a secured online system for intervention-free calibration, QA and display asset management throughout the entire hospital group, Kortjik, Belgium-based Barco said.
