Philips releases mobile C-arm with flat detector

Royal Philips Electronics has released its Veradius digital x-ray system, a mobile C-arm with a flat-panel detector.

Philips said its Veradius includes an additional monitor on the C-arm stand, allowing the operator to have an unobstructed view of the live image. The Veradius can be used for various procedures, from orthopedic surgery and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair to coronary angiography and neuro stimulation, according to the firm.
