RTI debuts updated dose profiler

RTI Electronics has released a second-generation dose probe for CT quality assurance--the CT Dose Profiler.

The Mölndal, Sweden-based company said that the ion chamber and its possible underestimation of dose due to increasingly wider beams is slowly being replaced by the one-shot method of the CT Dose Profiler. With the device's solid-state chip and its rotational symmetry, the CT Dose Profiler is able to repeatedly perform exact measurements of the point dose, the company said.
