PetNet inks FDG contract with Imperial College

PetNet Solutions, a division of Siemens Healthcare, has been awarded a contract from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust in London to supply FDG to the facility.

Previously, PetNet supplied FDG for the Trust's PET system at the Hammersmith Hospital site in London. When a Siemens Biograph 64 TruePoint PET/CT system was installed at Charing in February, the contract was renewed with PetNet to supply FDG to the new system for another year.

The Biograph 64 at Charing is used for showing the stages of various cancers, providing information on how patients are responding to treatment as well as the stage of their metastases. The FDG is delivered from PetNet's Mount Vernon Hospital site in Northwood, England.
