Siemens scores U.K. digital mammo contract

A Mammomat Inspiration full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system from Siemens Healthcare has been installed at England's Worcestershire Royal Hospital, part of the Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust.

The Inspiration was installed as part of the Trust's managed equipment service with Siemens, which is now in its 10th year. The company said that with the Inspiration, images appear digitally on a screen, enabling radiographers to decide if image retakes are needed.
