Maquet launches endoscopic visualization system for CABG

Maquet Cardiovascular has introduced the Vasovision endoscopic visualization system, a visual display that places the endoscope image within the harvester's field of vision during endoscopic vessel harvesting (EVH) procedures.

The Vasovision uses fingertip adjustments for brightness and contrast, according to the Wayne, N.J.-based company. In EVH, a small incision is made in the leg or arm, through which a device is placed and the vessel harvested for CABG.

Maquet's new product is part of its Vasoview EVH portfolio of products, and will be sold separately as well as in combination with other Vasoview products.
