FDA clears SonoSite NanoMaxx ultrasound tool

SonoSite has received FDA 510(k) clearance for its new NanoMaxx ultrasound system and is commencing U.S. customer deliveries.

The Bothell, Wash.-based company said the NanoMaxx is the latest addition to its product line for point-of-care visualization in medicine. The portable tool includes a one-button design and a touch-screen user interface.

International deliveries began at the end of June, the firm said.
