3DISC opens U.S. Headquarters, appoints CEO

CR systems manufacturer 3Disc has opened its U.S. headquarters in Sterling, Va., and appointed Sigrid Smitt-Jeppesen as president and CEO.

According to the company, 3Disc Americas will market its new FireCR system to North, Central and South America. The product was first launched at the 2009 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting, and can be configured for all clinical applications.

Prior to this appointment, Smitt-Jeppesen was employed at DR firm Imix Americas and led the company to its merger with Arcoma AB earlier this year, said 3DISC.
