UMass Memorial deploys NDoc workflow app
The UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Mass., has rolled out InterSystems’ NDoc home care and hospice point of care and billing software from its application partner Thornberry.
More than 130 UMass Memorial Home Health and Hospice end users, including clinicians and office-based staff, are now using NDoc, according to InterSystems, of Cambridge, Mass. The application is built on InterSystems' Ensemble rapid integration and development platform.
Information entered by clinicians during each patient visit is stored in an InterSystems database that resides on a laptop PC. This information then flows to the data server in the home office where a bidirectional interface handles data synchronization, Intersystems said.
Previously, patient care plans required paper documentation of visit activity, which was created by clinicians during patient visits and then keyed in by other personnel, the company said.
